Well, AAAC previously admitted to cheating in last years Summer Cup (by building a custom trainer) /QUOTE]
Forgot to mention, is that a bit like Graeme Obree building his own bike for the hour record?

More seriously I was trying to be very real this year in the SC by only racing each stage once and whenever possible doing that live.
I think I have only repeated one stage twice and that was when I helped Bill on a Tuesday because he was going to run the Chaingang on the Thursday.
I does annoy me that they leave the stages open for more than 3 weeks.
Three weeks is fair to allow folk to have two weeks holiday.
If you can afford to take more than 2 weeks holiday then that's not fair either.

The kitchen isn't going to get painted if this banter keeps up. I'm listening to a baseball game on my phone paired with the Echo so every reply here makes a noise and I stop and read it. I could close the app but I'm afraid I might miss something.

Is multi tasking one of the things that goes with late middle age?

Guilty by association.. Ullrich, Riis, Brown... Ok I admit it... I have taken performance enhancing beetroot..

Jim (Team CycleCheat)

And I take statins to help my heart beat better but I see that is more a field levelling exercise and carry no guilt.

I did also learn a lot of 'tricks' on how to improve my space invaders game back in the day.
I just thought I would come clean about that as well.

I used "trainers" on the C64 and Amiga for some games, but I don't think I've cheated in any game/race since then. Haven't won any races either. Coincidence? Maybe.

As far as I recall, neither Ullrich nor Riis was caught, but their team mates confessions eventually made them confess as well. The same thing happened with other Danish riders like Brian Holm, Jesper Skibby, Rolf Sørensen and Michael Rasmussen and other riders from the 80's and 90's.

The riders you mentioned were caught through testing or through witness statements. It's essentially the same thing. Overwhelming evidence. Whorty volunteered the info Bruusgard. You need to stop comparing the two things.

Well, AAAC previously admitted to cheating in last years Summer Cup (by building a custom trainer), because he had a suspicion that others did. Worthy did cheat (regardless of his intention to do so or not) by using an already known trick. That's a fact, right? Hence the Team CycleCheat remark.

I believe Whorty did what he did to make a point about failures in the system, not to gain an advantage in the league standings. Was it misguided? perhaps. I take your point that he could of done it another way. But I think your comments regarding cyclecheat and the nations cup are insulting. Both Whorty and aaac have been totally open and honest about what they did and why. Whether you agree with them or not you have no reason to question whether you have to look at things more closely in the future because they will tell you themselves first.

Cheating in a online game/competition (and especially in this case where people do it at home) is much easier than in the real world. One of the Danish NC riders (Morten Holt) can attest that I did ask him before and at the NC to make sure, the firmware in his trainer was updated, to not get an unfair advantage on some of the stages. I would not accept/condone a shallow victory based on cheating or "mechanical advantages". Didn't see any of the Danish riders using a remote control during their races either, but maybe it was mounted inside the frame and voice activated. ^_^

After spending some months talking with us you should know what type of people we are! A bit mental but not cheats!!!

We didn't check the graphs for each rider, to look for any anomalies, when the final ranking for the 2017 NC was done. Wouldn't have been possible either, as they weren't available until days later, when Pep has finished (grooming and) uploading his data. ^_^

Will Sharapova's efforts be questioned in her future tennis endeavours because of her doping/cheating history? Absolutely, and rightfully so.

Again.... sharapova.... don't you see the difference?

Yes I am a bit hot headed (and sorry for that), but I thought me and Whorty had a nice and fair competition going on, being close to equal on many stages and therefore in the rankings. The after/pre-race banter is part of the fun (otherwise we could all just be competing against unknown Spanish riders). His actions sort of ruined that, intentionally or not.

Don't let it ruin anything dude!! Nothing's changed! We all know the real times. You still hold the same time advantage and we all know that. For what it's worth I agree totally about the drafting thing, I like to think we all do. No one should kid themselves that beating someone's ghost or drafting is the same as winning a live race!

I think we all agree that BKOOL needs to step up, but deliberately sabotaging the rankings to prove a point, doesn't help, right?
Getting their sponsors aware of them sponsoring a rigged/bogus competition, might be a better way. In the end, that's what changed many Pro cycling teams, sponsors not wanting to be associated with cheating and doping.

In the end I apologize for any insulting remarks, but hope I proved my point!? Now let's get back to fair racing and let others experiment with various ways of cheating!

I think we all genuinely consider eachother friends here mate, you definitely included in that of course. Which is weird as we in a virtual world. No ones perfect and the sign of true friendship is when you can tell your pals they're being a bit of an peanut :hugs:!

And I meant what I said, I'm definitely looking out for you come the winter leagues :bicycle::bicycle::bicycle::boxing:

Nope! They can carry on kicking your Arse TT :okay: Much like I will now I am edging closer to full fitness ;)

^_^

Funny you say that Bob. The other week I averaged 243 watts over an hour and a half around Regent's Park. I was a little disappointed but then I did have to stop for the lights I suppose... what was your average again? :cuppa:

I think zwift has made you a little soft mate ^_^

PS: Multi-tasking is dangeerous which is why you shouldn't use your phone whilst driving.
Shame there are not similar laws for pedestrians using the road (and I don't say that in light of the recent cyclist vs pedestrian court case).

Thing is you might be multitasking but you can never remember what you were doing 5 seconds ago!

I was doing some DIY at the weekend and the number of tools I lost by not remembering where I had just put them.
But I always new where the spare was that I had put away two years ago.
That is perfectly timed. I've just spent the last 5 minutes looking for my trim rollers. I had a pack of 4 and used one yesterday. I'm now at the point of thinking some burgler image.jpg broke in and took them.
