Not yet. I have contacted a few frame builders to see if they can come up with a solution and a london carbon repair company recommended by Giant. I want to see what is possible before I go back to Giant. None of my research suggests this is an inherent weakness in defy frames. Some older frames may have had softish aluminium.

49 minutes is a great time for that route. It is killer. .I felt like it gave me very low watts for my effort. Like riding through mud. Also had my chain come off with less than a mile to go.

I was the same, couldn't hold speed on that course. Fact someone I beat comfortably in another race trashed me on this concerns me

It was the hills and the lumpy finish that did for me Lighter riders should fair better

I'm very tempted by your friendly wheel Mr AAAC 76C but I haven't even done CG2 - If Welch fellow Rob is doing CG2 tomorrow, I'll be friendly with him, if not, I may be friendly with you. Sorry if I'm coming over all 'loose'..
