Oh crap. My calves are really complaining this morning. When you up the cadence they don't tell you all the consequences :B)

Trainer-road says ignore the calves and ankles, just relax them, quads, glutes, hamstrings in a piston like action. Welcome to the world of a spinner

It takes a while to get your average cadence up but your cycling will improve. Over the last 12 months kinesiology gone from around 80rpm to c95rpm, depending on steep hills and first gear!

My little ride yesterday, up Boxhill I held 105, then as the gradient eased I dropped into the next harder gear held 100rpm, the watts jumped massively. For a minute or two I was in warp mode passing loads of riders. Still 10mins for Boxhill, is that a good time Bob, for an old fatty?

Not bad! I suspect you could do a bit better though:okay: I think our bsim training means we carry a lot of climbing strength that many zwift users don't have. Far too many complain about box hill but really its a bit of a lump compared to the rides we are used to.

If i have the right segment my best is 7.23 at 266w so 3.5w/kg. I would hope to best 6.30 min in the weeks to come.

That Bilboa ride is nasty. Deadstops everywhere, a real PITA. I second i'm 2 mins up on riders, the next they're flying past me. Couldn't be bothered to do the last hill as I knew every would just fly up there and leave me for dead! Generally a good work out though, although I didn't see Jim after the start; don't know if he had problems??

Bkool wasn't playing at all last night for me @Whorty - it was one of those 'I'm going to make it really hard for you to get up 2% climbs' nights.. as for the 4, 6 & 14% climbs - forget it. I nearly re-booted and re-started but carried on through 16 odd miles and then threw the towel in. I messaged you but you must have been 'elsewhere' ..

Fingers crossed it is back to normal tonight.. :heat:

Yesterday was a gentle ride-ish. Learning to stay in a pack and follow the leader. We were supposed to hold <2.5 W/Kg up Boxhill which was comfortable. 2nd time round I held 2.5 again but everyone was going for it, so I upped it to 3.8, which was working quite hard, it allowed me to overtake those that had shot past me on the first part. I will have a go at Boxhill when fresh and see if I can hold 3.5+ for the whole climb

I wonder if this is the same problem I had? I hope so as it would suggest a system problem rather than just my trainer - still need to identify the cause of the noise and vibration though
