And grinds
Edit. There is something not quite right about the riding experience. There is a very light bump bump of the trainer going around. I thought it was an untrue wheel but when I got a new one there was the same issue.
The grinding was the fan blades on the trainer next to the metal disc. A clip broke and it was clipping the round plastic cover.
I have exactly the same DP - both the light bump as the wheel goes round (more noticeable at slower speeds) - and the noise from clipping the plastic cover.

I never did work out what was causing the "bump" thing but AAAC may well be right about a slight bulge in the tyre from the innertube

I've had issues with bulging/delaminating tyres (operator error, I pumped them up too much), required tyre replacement. A reseat of the tyre and inner tube cured another one I had. The last one was a rubber build up on the roller.

I've not had any issues with my classic trainer.

Just had a ride and checked the wheel and it bumps n the same place. Not sure I want to true a wheel though... I'd probably make it worse...

They were doing it once a week at the weekend but they can't even be bothered to do that anymore.
This really winds me up as it takes away any interest in the overall results while the league progresses as you don't really know where you stand against other riders at all. I don't understand why there's a delay at all - surely once the ride hits the stage results the overall results should update automatically? I know this doesn't happen - even in our leagues - but I can't see why not, and a delay of over a week is just ridiculous.

You haven't been on my trainer.... bump bump bump dead stop....
Talking of dead stops I mentioned my velo dead stop to bkool on Foffbook/Facebook and they said they would look into it! Funny though, their post seemed to take credit for the Nations Cup rather than @JacobSkovsgaard who I remember organising the whole thing...
Edit. It mentioned lower contact area hence lower rolling resistance. Not sure I can work that out myself...
I see on Facebook Bkool's initial response was to suggest the dead stop in the velodrome was due to your trainer disconnecting

If only it had - as we know, rather than stop dead you'd have carried on whizzing round at top speed! Proof once again they don't know their own product

Well we've gone past stage 12 now and my last update was stage 9.... so, by my reckoning.. bare with me now... it must be almost 3 week since the last update.. :addict:

Perhaps they are running a little behind due to all the effort they put into the NC? They must have realigned the dilithium crystals or something like that and now they can't produce the necessary Gigawatts of power?

Geoff will have the answer..

Perhaps the admin is on Hols
or
Perhaps Pep has not done all the stages and won't come out on top

Leaving all the stages open is wrong as well. They should all only be open for 4 to 6 weeks tops.
A week or three does not give those that go on holiday a chance to keep up so you'd should only get a week or two on top of that.
If you can afford a holiday longer than that then you can afford to buy/take a set up with you.

Once the disconnect time exceeds the allowable window, they have reduced it, BSim will 'invite you' to leave the session.
Until that point your speed will remain at that when you disconnected.
So you are correct in that they do not have a clue.
Perhaps Apple should make a turbo and SIM. We wouldn't be able to afford it but it would work none the less.
BKool may be on a budget but they continue to try and move forwards by going sideways.
One can demonstrate that by asking a room full of BKoolers what the best recent SIM/Turbo improvement was over the past 4 updates of both.

For many the only answer would be ANT FEC so they can use Zwift.

There is an interesting article (yes , I should be working...) over at DC Rainmaker about the demise of computrainer that should give bkool pause for thought. Making a closed ecosystem and denying issues or refusing to engage is pretty dangerous especially one that excludes other trainers. Anyways, this from Wahoo, but there are many other examples too:

I spent many emails and phone calls trying to convince them to let me build an ANT+ interface to their hardware back in 2010. The answer was always the same, the physics in the Computrainer was too complicated for wireless transmission. This wasn’t true, but no amount of arguing from me would convince them. I finally had a face to face try at convincing them at Interbike and got so frustrated I ultimately told them if they didn’t let me build an ANT interface to the computrainer I would be forced to build a competing product. If they hadn’t been so stubborn and gotten me so fired up I probably would never have made the KICKR…

I might accept your point about Apple if I hadn't spent the morning trying to get my son's faulty iphone fixed and ultimately having to send it back under warranty after it stopped working for the third time in 3 weeks - each time giving me a MAJOR headache in getting all that Apple ID stuff back up and running :banghead:

Why should it need an admin to update the overall league positions though? The rides (usually) get added to the stage results automatically - why doesn't this just automatically update the overall results as well???? Frustrating.
