Well it's a Finnish stage tonight and you're drinking cider so....get-pissed

Afraid I will be absent from parade, a day in the garden pollarding trees then removing all the small branches and then chopping up everything so I can put it in the Green Bin I am done for, got aches in muscles I didn't know you make ache. Even gripping my handle bars would be too much.

How's it going folks? I am struggling big style to get on here at the moment. Work is killing me! By the time I get home I am too exhausted to eat, never mind do a turbo session. Looks like I'll be doing the shorter DD route!! Trying to inspire myself to get the bike out of the garage right now, but it's not working.....

Hi @Add, I see they have released the 63 mile route for the DD

https://www.plotaroute.com/route/326593

I might be tempted to give this a go, as it seems more my kind of length, and the steepest gradient claims to be 14.4%, which is still steep enough to cause me problems with my heart rate limit, unless I can find a way to get much stronger without exerting myself. So far, this has eluded me.

Can't see why anyone would want to ride further than 100 km in a day! :banghead:

Might well be joining you on that one Geoff! I dread to think how unfit I have become.

Hi Adam. Maybe you need to put your prices up if you're so busy. Or employ some workers to do all the work while you stand around supervising. Knowing you, I'd advise you to have at least 2 weeks intensive bkooling before the DD as then you'll be at optimal fitness.:okay:

Good ride to watch up front today.
DP obviously goes well on White Lightning.
If he progresses to Barley Wine there will be no stopping him!

Good to hear from you Adam!

We've been up to lots of exciting things including an international team race! I suggest you take some time off work to catch up on everything you've missed on the forum - a week or two should be enough

As for this talk of doing shorter routes - as someone on here used to regularly say....pffft

Who knew Cider was a performance enhancer??! Must try that myself (for the sake of science of course).

I found that hard work again tonight - those changes in gradient were really draining - good ride Bill and DP - and everyone else who did it :heat:
My kind of ride, short fast uphill blasts and downhill for recovery. I thought when you and bill got together again (:smooch:) you would real me back in... but thankfully bill was having none of it...
The cider was enough to numb the pain and brain.... I have a triple ipa in the cupboard for next time @10.5%!

Good course choice Bill, I enjoyed that cheers.

Is anyone else having problems with rides uploading? I have a bkool ride that's uploaded to Strava but isn't showing on bkool which is a new one for me. And two other rides not showing at all.
Yep, showing in history but greyed out... Probably show up when bkool update wc in around a weeks time.
