Hi there. Yes I did it last year, it's a great Sportive. I am assuming it is the one that starts and finishes in Cardiff, and takes in the Tumble and Caerphilly Mountain? These are the two main climbs, but the rest is pretty tame. The first 50km are pretty much pancake flat and perfect for warming up the legs and getting a bunch of distance behind you. Do it I say, I loved it. There is always someone to tuck in behind.
Thanks for all the feedback which gave me the encouragement to accept the challenge BUT then the better half had delight informing me it was on the same day as the U2 concert at Twickenham I'm going to, so thats the end of that challenge.
Now that I'm up for a challenge is there any other organised rides you have done(100 miles) that you would recommend doing.

Geoff,

Still no trainer, warehouse sent out wrong part:cry: Wahoo USA are expressing one from head office, and refunding me all my postage and tax costs from first delivery. Apart from the delay I cant fault their customer service and speed of attention.

OK, who's up for a Handicap Team Time Trial tomorrow (Tuesday) 7pm (UTC)?

I thought we could run Pico again, as it was great for drafting in previous TTT's.

Probably best to start with just three teams, unless we can be sure to get 16+ riders.

Should open up some interesting tactics, and we can adjust the teams depending on who is riding.

Teams something like... please let me know if you can ride so I can adjust and calculate the fairest handicaps.

Join in the mass Cyclechat Double Devil in May? 121 miles, or 95 miles or 60 miles!

Hoping to join, but feeling a bit rough at the moment with a cold. May have to lead the team out until lungs give up and let the team leave me in a ditch at side of the road for the vultures!

I'm up for it.
It will be tight though as I am dropping HID off for a night out with friends (she is allowed to have some unlike me) at circa 18:50.
If I set everything up before I go and get change and throw a track suit on I (and take my cycling shoes off) I should be able to make it.

This would be the case with most seat posts but the one on my other racer has allowed me to rotate it through 180 deg. Fortunately for me the post diameters are the same. Had a quick go on the bike and it appears to have transformed my sitting position. I have a feeling this may have solved the problem.

Looks a bit like a good old fashioned steel seat post.
Does it have a serrated interface so you can never quite get the right seat angle like a traditional steel one?

How's this TTT work please? I need to look after my teammate McWhortface - any guidance please? Is it time handicapped, what if my teammate McWhortface dies trying to help his teammates and/or is there any shame in finishing long after you've showered, had your Horlicks and said goodnight to the cat?

I thank you.
