Well bkool stuffed me up, on the start line for geoff's ride, bkool crashed, reboot 1-2 mins behind, pushed hard to try and catch up for bkool to crash again, sorry but I gave up then, very demoralising.

Great ride guys - a group of you shot off into the distance but had a good battle trying to get close to Richard (to no avail - just too strong for me!) Thumbs up for a good course and a great workout!! :bicycle: :training:

EDIT: Do many of you guys use a Wifi connection, Mine always threw me out so I bought a couple of those powerline ethernet adaptors - only had one glitch since (just a thought)

Maybe a lot of the hassles with Bkool are issues with their server.....overloaded maybe, it wouldn't surprise me if they have over subscribed to what their servers can handle.

Currently using wifi as I'm in the house with it at the mo. The first Dipford glitch was in the garage with powerline adaptors. I've only had two glitches, both on Dipford :banghead:

147 mph, so that's why I couldn't see you for dust! :hello:

Well done everyone, especially Kipster, I couldn't keep up with you, just had to let you get a gap on me. As you say, shame it crashed but I don't doubt I couldn't have caught you. I can't adjust the rides once they pass classification, and I wouldn't worry about it anyway, you deserved the win.

Turns out I beat my personal best, got in a bit of battle with a guy called Lars, got back past him and pulled away a bit before he appeared to quit (or his bkool crashed). There seemed to be loads of interlopers turn up at the start, as if word of our 7pm ride had got out, we were nearly out numbered at one point. I was hoping to get a bit of a train going, but one of the interlopers zoomed off then Kipster came past me like a jet and I just tried to stay with them.

Sorry for all the glitches, it was my first course and perhaps the gradients are a bit all over the place, and the simulator can't deal with it. It is nice to have a rolling course for a change, long climbs or long flats/descents do get a bit boring at times.

Thanks to everyone who turned up, shall we try again at 5pm on Saturday for anyone who missed it or would like to try again?

Cheers,

Geoff

Funnily enough, my bkool pro has started to behave better (yesterday and today) and the power figures are now almost exactly the same as my Powertap. No idea what's changed, but it feels like the resistance is greater, and I'm having to push harder, so although the bkool is pretty much the same figures as before, the Powertap is showing more watts.

I was wondering how we might get the group sessions to be more interactive, and thought about trying to get a train together or something like that, then it occurred to me we could have a team race once a month or so, and divide into teams of three or four and then race for the third over the line or something. That way we'll have to work together to get everyone as fast as possible.

Sound fun?

No idea how we'd pick the teams, just divide up to try and average things out?

Sounds good Geoff but with everyone commenting on what they can or cant do on different days it would be hard to get enough together to do it.

just did another session, different route, and got the same glitch. It appears that when I'm motoring on the descents bkool tries to slow me down. Don't know if its a turbo or software issue but I had a -8.2% descent showing 1400w and I could hardy turn the pedals. If I stop and wait for the 'do you want to quit' message and then start pedalling again it's all back to normal. Very odd, but I'll just have to go slower on the descents.

Case logged with BKOOL.

So Geoff it's not your course, its my descending!!

I was trying to stay with the interloper that went out front. He got 30 seconds on me, but I managed to close him back to 8 seconds before I glitched and went into over drive. Eventually beat him by 3 minutes
