Oh dear, you seemed to miss us.

I checked first and there was no live session so I started from the league at exactly 5:30pm.

I warmed up for 10 minutes, and soon after I started Rayvon joined the warm up, along with a couple of interlopers.

After 10 minutes the session started and off we went. The interlopers were both Active and a bit of a handful. I tried to stick with them, for the honour of the league, and nearly got one at the end but died just before I caught him. Sorry guys.

I checked the league, and it seems that Richard also joined us, though I didn't see him at the start.

Both Richard's and Rayvon's sessions needed verification, one due to a dropped signal for 23 seconds (limit 10 seconds) and one as it expected them to weigh 0kg and surprisingly they weighed a little more!

The course was OK, a mix of hills and descents. A few bugs, which managed to make me feel motion sick as I rode through them. Takes around 30-40 minutes.

I don't know if Rayvon and Richard joined the live session or went through the League tab. Let us know and we should have the routine for the main event.

It seems that if you don't make it in the 10 minute warm up, then you start at the back!

Cheers,

Geoff

Bill, your session also came through for validation, showing Lost Signal (2,241). If that's seconds, that's 33 minutes!

Rayvon's was also lost signal for 2,333.

Richard's Lost Signal was only 2, so no problems there.

Are you guys using WiFi or Ethernet?

How strange. I also started at 5.30 and came in through Leagues but there was no sign of you or Rayvon. I could see Richard was in one session but he left after a while. I then left and looked for you in Live but couldn't see a session there. Then went in through Leagues again and there was no running session this time so I gave it 10 mins warm up then did the ride.
I didn't go as fast as you Geoff but also I didn't show up due to the broken connection. That's why its necessary to alter the broken connection parameter in the setup. I change it to a high number like 10,000 just in case.
Anyway, I still don't understand why I couldn't see you guys.

Hello everyone, I'm planning on joining in with the Thursday ride,

Bit about me, I'm 43, cycled loads as a teenager then found cars, started cycling again in July this year, aim to increase fitness and cycling distance during winter to get ready for some good outdoor rides during the summer, enjoyed doing the alp duez on bkool (twice now), I've got a gsoh so can take a joke, well that's me, cycle soon !!! ^_^

I think a lot of it is Bkool as usual, I'm on wifi from 130 meg Virgin cable and never loose wifi on anything else I use.
I have lost connection countless times on Bkool for no good reason.

Ok, some nasty bits on that run Geoff, you did well to keep up with those guys...

I checked and saw the live session, checked Geoff was in it and joined, spoke with Richard he joined thru the league at say 17:15,,,

we had problems with dropped signal before which when we set prior league rides up via Bill, it was allowed a wild figure so no one was pulled unless maybe after about 10 mins, i can confirm im running on virgin cable 100m+ connected via lan direct to router so hopefully issuse is software related

Thanks for the help, it was great to see you pop into the ride almost straight away, as I sat on the start line warming up. No idea who the other two riders were but I was well knackered at the end, trying to overhaul one of them before the end.

So it seems the best bet is if one person is nominated to start the session from the league tab at a pre-determined time, then everyone else waits for it to appear on the live tab and joins within the 10 minute warm up.

If you miss the warm up, then you have to start your own session from the league tab and perhaps a second group might get together?

I don't suppose there is any other way of riding live together, as everyone pretty much has to start at the same time. I guess the alternative is to challenge others previous times and ride with them in virtual fashion.

How typical of Bkool is this?

Had a great training run, the multiplayer things really made things much more interesting, I'd have given up on a normal turbo long before now. I'm looking forward to Thursday's ride.

BUT, the league table shows zero's for all the splits for two of us, even though my activity shows perfectly good times for the splits.
And the activity shows average power figures for the splits a factor if 10 out (I wish I could do >2,000 watts) and speeds of >400 mph.

They must get thousands of error reports every day ...

Shame, because it really is a great bit of technology with so much promise.

I'm pretty sure you can make it a private session for group members only, although tbh, more the merrier in my mind! And welcome Richard! I'm 42 and just rediscovering cycling too, last bike was a Tomahawk! Looking forward to thursdays ride, barring any family issues!
Just did Alpe run again, but remained seated for the whole run, but can't put anywhere near the same power down.
New shoes are settling in nicely though, much better now!
