I just used the same dogged determination and tenacity that I shall be employing today, when I don my waterproofs and resignedly trudge to the roof I am trying to felt and batten in this awful weather.

I need to strengthen my legs from a seated position, and I guess the only way to do it, is smash out the miles!

Hello everyone, I'm planning on joining in with the Thursday ride,

Bit about me, I'm 43, cycled loads as a teenager then found cars, started cycling again in July this year, aim to increase fitness and cycling distance during winter to get ready for some good outdoor rides during the summer, enjoyed doing the alp duez on bkool (twice now), I've got a gsoh so can take a joke, well that's me, cycle soon !!! ^_^

Hi Richylad. welcome on board. Well done for doing Alpe d'huez twice. The way some of the guys here complain about it you'd think it were Everest:tongue:. Looking forward to seeing you on La Riba and then Col de la Madeleine. BTW Col de la Madeleine is Everest^_^.

Thanks for the help, it was great to see you pop into the ride almost straight away, as I sat on the start line warming up. No idea who the other two riders were but I was well knackered at the end, trying to overhaul one of them before the end.

So it seems the best bet is if one person is nominated to start the session from the league tab at a pre-determined time, then everyone else waits for it to appear on the live tab and joins within the 10 minute warm up.

If you miss the warm up, then you have to start your own session from the league tab and perhaps a second group might get together?

I don't suppose there is any other way of riding live together, as everyone pretty much has to start at the same time. I guess the alternative is to challenge others previous times and ride with them in virtual fashion.

Geoff

Yeah I think this sums it up really. Or this is the way it should work but didn't for me. I must have a setting wrong somewhere and will try to find it before tomorrows ride.

Anyone know where the setting is for Multiplayer? I can't seem to find it. Actually I can't find any settings.

Thursday nights ride,is it Sky road at 7 pm,,just to confirm

Seeing as I'm excluded I'm thinking of starting a breakaway Thursday night group to do Alpe d'Huez instead.
But I'm getting a weird deja vou feeling which I'll just put down to old age.

Last night I couldn't see you guys at all but I was around at exactly the same time. Must be Bkool or settings or something.

I'll be looking for you on Thursday again though and hopefully it was just a glitch.

I couldn't see the ride at first had to press live a couple of times which i think refreshed it.

On the Windows app "Settings" is on the top right of the home screen. iPad is exactly the same.

Select Settings, then make sure Solo Mode is NOT ticked!

Yep. I suggest that ONLY ONE of us (I'm happy to volunteer) starts the session at 7pm sharp from the League tab, then everyone else go to the live screen between 7pm and 7:10pm and keep refreshing it looking for the Sky Road session to appear.

When the Sky Road session appears join it and warm up until 7:10pm. If anyone is late, they get to choose whether to do the whole ride from the back, or to join just behind the last placed person, which at least allows you to ride with the group, though I'm not sure what it will do for the league stats.

Don't forget to make sure you are NOT in solo mode, and if you press the right arrow key (or swipe right) until you are in 3D mode you should see everyone's Avatars.

I did try using a headset to see if we could chat, but no one was talking, and I could barely have had a conversation anyway, as I was breathing rather hard!

Cheers,

Geoff

With apologies to those who already know, for those who have yet to find 3D view and a Multi User session, this is what the other live riders, virtual riders and bots look like (virtual riders seem to be translucent and bots wear grey skinsuits).

When you are drafting, or being drafted a little logo appears at the top center of the screen to show you how much drafting there is.
