Just a very slow stroll round the riverside trail this morning.

just like the heat you get from stepping off a plane abroad...

The October heatwave they promised us must have been delivered early. That or they shortened September without telling us.

Might as i said look at hooking the MB up to it..
for days like today blowing a hooley
Mrs M made a daft mistake and bought top heavy plastic tubs for our bamboo and today again they are on their side, leaving them lying down until this windiness all subsides later in't the week..
Lazy day ahead..

Enjoy, maybe build a small generator that you fit to the turbo. Power yer telly...
Think of the tailwind on days like this though.
You didn't weigh the bottom of them down? They'll roll around if it's windy.
Another lazy day! You wait ages fer one then a load roll up one after the other.

I'd imagine price..
must look at maybe a railing to tie them to..
I had originally wanted one but my ideas don't count
best in big tubs as a pretty invasive plant, handy for screening purposes though..
forecast said no rain so Bob has hung washing out but plenty grey rain looking clouds scuttling across..
oh well, good breeze though.

I did tell her last night I missed her
BUT have guaranteed I'd get the sights fixed (NOTE : JOKE)

got an email today, my delivered mag Amateur Gardening is ending..
it said I could do nothing and the subscription would automatically switch to Womans Weekly...handy, eh?
so I phone up , just cancel the subscription please, we can offer you Womans Weekly instead..
eh, do I sound if I'm a female...
it got giggles...
looked forward to the read and free seeds each week...
just remembered and cancelled the debit thingy....

Baseball on early, last regular season week so...
I'll need to find something to do now plus the cycling slowing down but cyclocross (european) will be starting soon...
too windy still for a bat hunt..
looks pretty breezy for a few days to come....

Yep, Maurice was that man.....
The thing was Mallory when found had all sorts in his pockets, bills, receipts etc but NO photo of his wife to whom he had promised that he would leave at the summit, that sways it for me..Odell saw them at the top of the Second Step before the weather came in, I think they perished on the descent, Irvine was said to have a camera but he was never (or so they say) found, there is a side story to that which could be probable..
worth trying to hunt it down.....google Sandy Irvine Chinese..
Mallory was found 2,000 ft down and would have fallen and moved downwards over the preceding years..
The thing about those days, you had to be establishment to be accepted, yer man Wilson was not of that ilk and would have been dismissed because of his standing, middle class doesn't cut it..
Interesting book(audio) so far building up to the Everest attempt and another claimed by the great mountain..
worth a gander....
