Oh dear......just found out through Strava that the wife of a member on CC has come off her bike this morning coming down Dunning Glen, one of my favourite haunts and a fast descent. Hoping she is ok as hubby is working abroad at the moment.

No likey...

Hope she is ok, is that the descent into Dunning? The road is quite gravelly there from memory.

Good morning @ScotiaLass @meta lon & @Saluki

Thinking of doing a cycle mechanics course like you mentioned SL (a basic one)

@Saluki - better off without the grief of that naff job, better pay or not, not worth it.

@meta lon - did you answer my general building/renovation question or maybe not see it ?

It was okay and I did learn a couple of things I didn't know, but the basic one was all about changing tyres/tubes and indexing gears (yeah, I learned a lot there ) and a few other bits about how a bike works, which I knew anyway.
I have a work stand which is really useful, but I think I need better tools as most are multi-tools and they make me scream!

We used to make them out of those ice-cream jubbly containers *anyone remember them* ?

They were kind of Dalek shaped upside down with knobbly bits & always had a round chewing gum in the bottom.
