Don't forget the Beginners thread is for beginners. When I first posted on there, I'd only just got past the 2 mile round the block ride without dying! Anyway, I might have just done the 100, but at 6 months in, still a beginner technically.
I don't know whether to post in beginners or not, this my first year commuting to work by bike, so probably still a beginner,....
Here's to 10k next year
No no no. That's good....you can then spend the weekendAfternoon Chicken fanciers, work done, the weekend starts here..... Shame it starts with a trip to Sainsbos.

Super impressiveI don't know whether to post in beginners or not, this my first year commuting to work by bike, so probably still a beginner, I am impressed with how well I have done though (considering how inactive I was before and that I would never have got up at 05:00am before, my mother was very surprised at that ).
I have done 6836 miles in 562 hrs on my heavy old Carrera Crossfire 3 hybrid bike so far since Jan 2nd.
My best month was Jun with 872 miles in 66hrs, I am hoping to break that this month as long as the wind doesn't get too bad
55mph winds forecasted for Monday
I am up to commuting 200miles a week (Mon-Thu, through London, I only live 4 miles from work ).
I only average about 12-14mph, I want to get a nice cyclocross bike to replace the hybrid, most likely in the new year.
Once this month has been and gone and I beat my 900 mile target I suspect I will lower that mileage to 100 miles a week on the commute, we shall see.
Plenty of and cake needed, please!

I think Pat ventures in every now and then, and as I found out to my cost, she's a girl.Don't post in beginners - that's NOT a beginner's record! Get yourself amongst the big boys* in Commuting!
*there must be some 'girls' there but they're not very obvious!
And if you want to make everyone feel small, get yourselves a ticker to show your mileage
Pat is a girl , whatever next
Ickle wickle duckies!
Some on their are not beginners but stay because its a really good thread. It's like "your ride today" anything from 2 miles to 200 another great thread with some beautiful photos. Now @welsh dragon you must get your camera out on your rides as you have some spectacular landscapes.Don't forget the Beginners thread is for beginners.
