They can be expensive. Have you tried tightening the wheel? Sometimes it will get loose. Could also be the drive belt is broken which is an easy fix. And pull the thread from the bobbin make sure it's not tangled. I had a cheap machine for 10 years that I kept going (but I 'm mechanical enough to figure out and fix just about anything)Have a pile of school trousers waiting to be turned up, sewing machine kaput.
