I don't know when I'll get to my main cycle, so I'll post now!
Had a dash to the Station only to find that the train was 10 minutes late. I was left thinking I should have cycled further.

50 mins later I was still thinking that, I had cycled two stops up the line by then.

I was thinking of getting off a station early then Wham. 5 mins later the driver came out.

I could be here a while. On a high bank circa 1km between roads and I can't get off now!

I got home eventually to find out that Id rather cycle across Pottyboro in the peak than 9.30pm on Friday night, I got some stupid overtakes on blind bends. The biggest numpty after starting an overtake straight into an oncoming driver on a blind bend that sweeps right continued on when the road sweeps left where its equally blind over the crest of a hill. The road then sweeps right again but opens up it to two lanes at traffic lights with good visibility. That didn't stop him whilst being predominantly in the correct lane to turn right, sporadically cutting into the left lane in front of another driver.

Nope, working from home today. Though to be fair, its not as bad out there as it said it would be. I have certainly cycled in worse.

Surely location dependent on
Back to a very cold, frosty morning. Saving grace that the sun is out and the sky is blue.
Its Friday so back on the big boys bike today. And a couple of members on here may be happy to notice that I have added some spacers to the mudguards @straas

There is just so much road works my side of Derby at the moment probably to spend their budget before April that cycling about is much easier. The queues of traffic before the temporary traffic lights at junctions, I just use the cycle lane straight to the front and away I go on the green. The motorists are all angry about the long hold ups it’s quite comically.

I remember this from college: the only people to come by car were consistently about five minutes late, and the reason was always the traffic lights at the edge of the town.

It never seemed to occur to them, to set of for college five minutes earlier so they could be on time.

I took it very cautious at the shared use crossing where I came off at early this year but I don't think I needed to worry today, the frost only hung around for minutes and it soon disappeared 🌞

I'm amazed you lads find space for bikes and the trains looks deserted. Where are you? Outer Hebrides?!

Rochester in Kent to Bromley in SE London. It's a slower stopping service that takes 40 minutes. I could get the faster train that leaves later, takes 30 minutes and arrives 3 minutes after, but of course it's much busier.

Minus 2 today so I put the studded tyres on. Slow and heavy and that's just me, slower and heavier with them on but at least I will arrive without bashing the tarmac on icy bits. Lovely bit of sunshine on the way in.

Left late, made later by an impressive array of circumstances conspiring against me. Nice morning but cold and tiring due to involuntary council-interval training thanks to trying to make progress despite many obstacles. Managed sausages but had to take the shorter route to minimise delay; arrived slightly late but it's not the end of the world.

Tired and aching now..

I had intended to commute on the bike but still full of cold so i am having to take the car again , this year has been one the worst i can remember for various things getting in the way of riding.

Chin up chap. Warmer and better climes are coming. This year seems to have been awfully bad for cold weather so far. The older I get the less intolerance I find I have for cold weather riding.
