Nice, Clive. Luckily, junior has his mum's beauty. Does he pass you his clothes when he has finished with them?

(Only joking - lovely photo!)

wot a day!

Left home (late) shot up to the dt (late) and met up with Andy Clive and Ian had a nice ride into town
reached hpc (late) thinking we missed everyone, they were on the other side.

Adam Simon and raptochik joined us for some coffee and chat , so we diverted to look mum no hands
then made our way to the ferry.

Some more coffee followed at greenwich then it was a pootle back into town, good stuff.

Tying my laces was yet another thing as part of a long, long list of things learnt/learned today! If I said today had been a major learning curve I think all of you on the ride today would know what I mean! The pics from Aperitif and topcat1 are brill - as indeed was the day. I wonder if I overdid it - tomorrow could be interesting! But I have no regrets and loved it loved it loved it. R

Great ride and great company as always. Was as expected very hungover this morning and found it very hard to get out of bed and to get on the bike. Didn't really feel that good until after coffee at 'Look Mum's'.

Every time I cycle through London and the City every time I seem to see something new and/or interesting. London is a wonderful city.
Top pics too guys.
45 Miles for the day.

I wonder if I overdid it - tomorrow could be interesting!

Unfortunately, one of the sure fire indicators for the next hill being easier is an ache in the legs the day after the hill that went before.

You'll be fine. Rapto muscles aren't really that useful off bike anyway, so there won't be anything you can't do

40 miles (for those riding in straight lines)
2 cafes (for those who weren't on pumpkin detail0
1 altitude/orientation incident (2 ft too low, on your side).

Many smiles.

That 'Ride with GPS' is neat, Andy - I almost understand it!

That was a fun day out in excellent company.

As Ian said, always something new to look at. As a country bumpkin, it's all new to me, but it was nice to be going along at a slow pace in daylight, so you could really look at buildings, especially above eye level and notice all the odd quirks. For example somewhere along Commercial Road, on top of one block like a gargoyle, was some sort of odd monster chewing on a large pound coin.

Lots of other nice sights (and I don't just mean the booty parlour).

Samuel Johnson was correct - "when a man is tired of London, he is tired of life; for there is in London all that life can afford."

Gutted I missed it as I'd have liked to have a look at the rapto', I needed the sleep though. Myself, Martok and his daughter did a few loops of Finsbury Park later in the afternoon for a leg stretch. Very proud that she managed just over 7 miles on her BSO. We're going to take a look at some Islabike's later in the month.

Hi Guys
I'm thinking about joining you guys for the first time next Sunday - keep a look out for a tall, (possibly hungover), lost looking girl on a Trek!
Looking forward to meeting you

Look forward to seeing you.
