I am in the north west. No sign of anything yet and the lunchtime Lpool v Everton game is still on.

Not any more !

This Mornings dog walk title: tells you Storm Darragh (Like everything else remotely interesting) has mostly avoided Suffolk so far…..

How fast does your dog walk? 😳

Or is the elapsed time 1:20:00 with all the sniffing around? 🤣

Ours didn't want to brave the storm this morning, she wouldn't even go past the gate until I finally convinced her to have a fifteen minute stroll round.

Barely stopped this am as I knew the rain was coming. So that’s total time inc sniffs !

Shes a terrier - so always out front being nosy and leading the way. This morning she was actively encouraged / let on a long lead to pull me along. Think we averaged nearly 3.8mph…..

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
We are in the red area but we are sheltered by all the hills here. The electricity is down but i have the qood burner and am using it to heat a kettle of water for tea and coffee.

We have gusts of wind and its raining as well.

Looks like baked potatoes done in the wood burner for us today.

Pretty windy here but no damage that I can see

yet - according to the forecast the worst will be in a few hours

Glad I don;t live where I used to live in Bangor - on top of a hill near the Menai Straits - it was windy there when the forecast said "Light breeze" and today it is in the red zone!!!

Liverpool Everton game cancelled and horse races at Aintree are both cancelled

now just hoping that the perfectly healthy Sycamore in the woods behind us blows down - and no longer drops millions of send all over our garden and shades the solar panels!!

Stay safe everyone!

I'm just annoyed that they keep missing my name, beginning with C when they name these storms. I thought they did the full alphabet in order, not missing any letters out apart from hard to find X, Y and Z names. 🤔 I suppose I should be grateful the last one was called Bert which was my dad's name. Why didn't they call this one beginning with the letter D storm @Drago!! 🧐

The last one began with C

At least there isn't a Storm Gillian due this year, when one is so named if it takes after a former work colleague it will be pure evil in its effects. You cannot give a storm a P45 but quite how she escaped one is beyond me

I've not seen or heard anything stormy here in north Lancs. Maybe it missed us completely?

Nothing in Manchesterland either. It's rained quite a lot overnight, but not enough to rattle the windows and disturb sleep. We've not got any wind either. It's slowly picking up though to a breeze at present.

My niece's makers market has been cancelled due to risks of wind. Shame as she's made a lot of Christmas stock that she won't be able to sell. She's potentially got another market tomorrow (indoors) to sell her stuff.

I think it's now due to hit this area this afternoon. Better bob to the butcher before it picks up.
