Was this thread not started for the purposes of highlighting how different you are? The solution to your problem, if you could call it that, is a simple one, but the thread does read in some places like you want to have a bit of a poke and prod at people for their use of certain types of language. It's fine to explain your position and your own interpretations but if you poke and prod people, sometimes they're going to poke and prod you back.

You made a post about RIP posts.
Since I made the most recent RIP post I replied explaining why I made the post and the section I specifically posted it.
(Not a single acknowledgement from you by the way).

Then you went further with the use of "wimping out", a provocative term.

I replied to that post and asked you a question - ignored again.

You may be high on the AQ index but your posts and style are hardly examples of civil, genuine conversation or basic good manners.

No doubt good manners are just for wimps too.

Why do people feel the need to post RIP threads?

Generally well known, to some, ( but not all), individuals who are effectively strangers. Just seems odd to me. I’d love a forum filter to easily remove such threads from my feed!

That's the sort of thing I meant in my first post in this thread. There seems to be such a rush to be the first to break the news that often the forum isn't checked to see if a thread already exists and can be added to. That's what I find a bit disrespectful.
