For some council areas in Scotland September 19th already is a public holiday. It will be interesting to see how that is handled as they would effectively receive one less public holiday compared to the rest of Scotland and, of course, the UK.

Not exactly, but i'm not watching for excitement.

I'd prefer a humanist ceremony, ie a celebration of a life.
In the absence of that option, the FF button will be quite useful.

I believe another reason is to allow 4 full days of lying in state in Westminster Hall, so that as many people as possible will be able to pay their respects.
