Yes, I know 'it's not worth it', as the brooch weight is only worth about £50 if sold as scrap, but I like it and it's not all about 'investments', as in wanting something to either gain in value or at least hold the price you paid for it. If When you buy most items they lose their value from the moment you buy them/it, so why not be prepared to lose it's supposed value when buying gold? I want the pin/brooch by the way to pin/hold the end of my watch chain to a waistcoat pocket.

I've just mixed some grated Red Leicester cheese into my dog's evening meal. He loves Cheddar, especially extra mature Cheddar, but he picked the Red Leicester out of his dish and spat it out! Why if he likes Cheddar, does he not like Red Leicester? 🤔

He's got taste, my dog loves mature cheddar as well.

I wouldn't, but if you like it then why not?

Well yes, why does everyone I know, when on the subject of jewelry and gold always go for the 'will it be worth more or at least as much as you paid for it in years to come'? aspect. They hardly ever say "Oh, that looks nice". It's always "What's its weight, how much did you pay for it". They might as well just buy a gold bullion bar and keep it in a safe to watch it increase in value, instead of actually wearing it.

Maybe its because its 'appeal' is very personal so what they think is of little consequence.
