Like many old codgers Rocky is a bit hard of hearing and ad libs much of the time.

His usual answer at home is " Yes, of course, dear"

Which isn't the best answer when the question was " Do I look truly awful in this, darling?"

Uppers’ catch phrase is ‘particularly nasty weather’ …… but when he first met Doug he happened to be holding a peacock’s feather. So you can draw your own conclusion.

Rocky wants to gets his hands on the new five part Beastie Boys greatest hits collection, he had no problems getting hold of parts A to D, but he had to fight for his rights to part E.

Today he won’t accept he’s in a river in Egypt.

He’s clearly in denial.

At primary school, I always remember a boy being asked

"What river runs through Glasgow"

He thought seriously about and after a moment or two, answered

"...The Nile?"

We were about 7, but even by then, we all laughed as it was a monumentally stupid answer, especially as said river (the Clyde) was about half a mile from our School! 😆
