Does it mean that they want you to register and just 'happen' to have your name/address ?
... or that you booked some Fringe tickets ??? ;)

The only way that they have my details is via my application this year. Obviously their computer systems can't tell the difference between previous participation and this years registrations. That does not bode well....

Expect nothing less than a free-for-all at the start!

Tete we will need to arrange getting your bike over to me. Let me know via PM what you think is the best option.

OK I now have Scoosh's SPDs. Christ you'd better be some cyclist Dayvo!

Don't worry; I'll cycle slowly so I can talk to you lot! not that I'll be able to understand too much of what you southerners are talking about!

What kind of bike is it? Have the mechanics been working flat out to get it up to, erm, the desired level of performance-busting cycling? ;)

Actually, I was planning on using it to practice my BB replacement skills on after I pick it up. I hope you don't mind......

SLOWLY ??? I think he means you'd better be up to his/their speed. I've met Tet - and he looks lean, mean and quick ! ;)

Knowing your amazing abilities, I am sure it will have suitable spanners in the works performance enhancing maintenance ;)

Just the opposite of me, then; not lean, generous, and, er, slow constant! ;)

Is Tet playing his JOKER - a la 'It's a Knockout'? Is the bike going to 'self-destuct after four 44 miles?

Ahhh, but isn't his good lady going to be making him ride at a more sedate pace, so that she has some company ?

Anyway - I think we CC'ers should form the CC Peloton; if we all have our jerseys on we'll make an impressive - or should that be terrifying ? - sight (so long as we all suck in our stomachs if there are photographers about)

Indeed!

And do we have to decide if we're going to shave our legs or not?

I'm telling you that bike just got a £50 service so there'd better be no fettling!

Unless it improves it of course

What Scoosh didn't mention was that I was in the midst of horsing a double sized carvery and rhubarb crumble and custard!

Anyway, this is NOT a race - well, not for the Tetes anyway...

Tete - that's why you and Mrs Tete are perfectly welcome in the "CC Peloton" (tm), as I imagine we'll be dawdling along. I saw the original idea of Magnatom's as a more social get-together kind-of-thing where a number of us met up and rode together.

Of course, if I've got that wrong then someone will be along in a minute to correct me

BTW - is there a definitive list of CC'ers who're meeting up for this at the start in Glasgow ?
