Suspect why Aldi and probably Lidl are doing well stock wise is their policy of usually only having one size of a product and only one variety, which as a former Aldi manager explained on 5 Live some time back means the supplier has a guaranteed sale in their stores compared to the Big 4 where it is stocked in a variety of sizes and a number of competing brands. Also the sheer volume of the single product sold allows for the lower pricing.

I am having difficulty getting up the enthusiasm to care, presumably this is some form of snowflake joke, which has caused this whoosh moment for me.

Some people are upset about others complaining about struggling to feed their families. They really shouldn't get upset because at least they're not dying. They could just choose to read another thread.

The cleaning seems to now individual store managers as far as I can make out, my Morrisons were not cleaning anything last time I went and customers were told to collect trolleys from the car park.

The local Sainsburys superstore has a cleaning station just inside the doors where you can clean your own trolley, after you've wheeled it in from the trolley bay
Yes, it was the same at the big Sainsburys here the last time I tried it. I took my trailer in as a trolley instead. Not that I needed it with entire aisles almost empty - but now we're going round in circles.

When did he last do the household shopping, I wonder?
We have a Click & Collect from Asda tomorrow, they have just emailed, no red peppers, no dishwasher tablets, okay not essentials, but no milk!!
They're out of touch, out of talent and should soon be out of office.
Although I agree with the first two, not so sure about the third, I'm not convinced any opposition party could have done better, or sooner which is the thing that should have happened.
