I disagree with that, especially large national Retail stores, the frontline staff have been brilliant in the few I have visited, it's the senior managements decisions & lack of leadership that is of concern, my personal bugbear is Tesco's they have been incompetent in getting their home delivery/click & collect fit for purpose. I have always been a customer of Tesco in favour of Asda & Morrison's, yet I can get a delivery or C&C from both inside 10 days, Tesco nothing before the 25th May at a store 20 miles away & for which they want to charge me.

The senior management are only staff, doing their best I am sure.

Our delivered milk was up around 80p a pint when we stopped using them 3 years ago.
Interesting. I would happily pay 75p today. We get a great service, local product, support two local businesses - farm and delivery are separate - reusable packaging, reduced plastic and no running out of milk!

What's not to like and tangible benefits worth paying for.

Who potentially have a different agenda to the frontline staff, their concerns are not primarily their customers needs unless the customers needs also align with their shareholders needs, as to doing their best, the Peter principle is often at work in large organisations.

Surely to satisfy shareholders you need to sell.

Ours started to get unreliable and short date milk. They delivered from 26 miles away so I guess we were an expensive customer to service.

As someone with a food allergy I completely fail to see what the big 4 are doing to assist. There has been absolutely no regard paid to the problems faced on finding shelves stripped bare by those who do not need to buy that specific allergy free product. I did suggest to Sainsbury's they offered a click and collect service emailing when one of the products on the list was actually in stock, no response.

Do you not think it is the customers who are to blame, a pal of ours works in a supermarket the abuse they are getting daily is off the scale, who did you suggest to at Sainsbury's.

Well I must be the only one who hasn’t had any trouble with Tesco’s. No problems with getting a delivery slot and have a slot booked for the next 3 Fridays. The driver rings to say he’ll be here in 10 minutes and that he’ll leave the shopping on the doorstep then ring the bell. He then waits at the edge of the front garden while I check any subs. Brilliant service from Tesco’s

They are making a big play on how great they are being for the vunerable, elderly and NHS staff which I have no problem with but then are burying their heads in sand over issues faced by other groups in the population. It was Sainsbury's customer services I contacted, no acknowledgement of any sought received.

They must be dealing with many thousands of enquiries go far higher like a nice letter to the chairman, addressed to him personally. Would food allergies not make you vunerable?

Our locally produced milk is delivered three times a week by our milk lady. We get a great service.

Out of interest could you say what your price per pint is? Ours is 50p which I keep telling her isn't enough but she worries about losing custom.
I take it's her own business?
84p gold top. Ridiculous? Furthermore they appear to have changed to weekly Bills instead of monthly from today. I think I will go back to cheques as that's cheeky. They only recently allowed internet payments.
The dairy does offer many other things from bread to compost, again a bit expensive.
