Yes, it was the same at the big Sainsburys here the last time I tried it. I took my trailer in as a trolley instead. Not that I needed it with entire aisles almost empty - but now we're going round in circles.
Last time in Sainsbury's I took a disinfectant cloth with me, wiped one of those hand held scanners and bagged stuff straight away into a large bag I was carrying. Used a keyring tag to work the checkout.

Should soon be out of office.
I suspect this view/hope is more to do Brexit and Scottish independence?

Well would you believe it? Due to the lockdown I never seem to know what day it is. I thought it was Sunday on Saturday. When I checked my milk caddy there was a bottle of gold top in it. It appears I won't die of milk deprivation after all!!

I would never have guessed who still has a paid servant delivering one's milk(!) ;)

Most of us only have the option of Milk And More, who we fired because they kept delivering zero-day milk after being asked not to - and in case anyone was thinking of trying them, they now say "due to the unprecedented volume of new customers and to ensure that we can continue to make deliveries to our existing customers we have had to halt acceptance of any new registrations"

Yes, I'm sure no-one is having difficulty getting milk and it's just coincidence that even a shoot service now has all the customers they can handle.

Or any thought being given by those complaining, that staff may have had to self isolate, due to having symptoms of the virus. Especially since they were handling foodstuff that will be eaten by someone else.

Replacement drivers, handling food produce, being hard to find.

They could say if that was the case, as many other businesses have, but they don't.
There's always Tesco's. Who haven't said that staff are covering for others, who are self isolating for the same reason. Showing symptoms of the virus.

Spelling corrected in edit.

I am not sure our dairy wouldn't take on more. They are cheeky sods to boot. Got a letter last week saying they are raising prices by 3p a pint because they have lost all there sales to schools and offices. Soooo they want me to make up for those lost profits?
Also difficult to get channel island milk in the shops.
I just checked Saturdays milk is dated 5 May. No wonder you dumped your milkman. They only deliver 3 times a week so has to be well dated.
I like to do my bit for small businesses But I think this dairy might be a lost cause. It was 5 years before i knew we had one. No advertising whatsoever. You would think they would at least put a advert in the 3 village notice boards?

Our locally produced milk is delivered three times a week by our milk lady. We get a great service.

Out of interest could you say what your price per pint is? Ours is 50p which I keep telling her isn't enough but she worries about losing custom.

I know we talk about companies, but the companies are just staff, people like the rest of us who I would like to think are doing their best.
I disagree with that, especially large national Retail stores, the frontline staff have been brilliant in the few I have visited, it's the senior managements decisions & lack of leadership that is of concern, my personal bugbear is Tesco's they have been incompetent in getting their home delivery/click & collect fit for purpose. I have always been a customer of Tesco in favour of Asda & Morrison's, yet I can get a delivery or C&C from both inside 10 days, Tesco nothing before the 25th May at a store 20 miles away & for which they want to charge me.
