This SAAB 95, & trailer (made from another 95, or a 96), was nice on Tuesdays Bangers & Cash (new series)
Guide price of £5,000

Sadly, it was sold for £4,500

Not so keen on the 95, yeah it may be a 7 seater but the 96 is far prettier.

Looks like the front panel is either off a later car or has been modified as headlamp wipers weren't fitted to those cars that early. I'd suggest the first as it isn't fitted very well with the bonnet sitting 'proud'and the gap to the wings being out. I've had loads of them off as fitting a clutch to the 95/96 means removing them to get the engine out and the bonnet opens forward.

Could someone please define classic as most of what i am seeing is normal cars. Classic cars i thought were 40 years old.

Veteran cars

Usually considered to be anything made before World War I.

Vintage cars

Used to refer to vehicles made before 1930.

Post-vintage cars

Produced between 1930 and 1945

There is no set definition of classic car.

I would contend that a crap car will never be a classic no matter how old it gets, while some machine become classics almost immediately.

For example, the Allaggro will always be a turd, but the mk1 Fucarse RS was a classic within few years of the run of cars being sold.

Insurers all take differing views on what age is the cut off for a classic policy, the government goes by 40 years for "historic."

Agreed!
For example; the new McLaren T50 is an instant classic, as is their (hard to believe it's been with us for over 30 years) F1

If it's the grey one I'm not convinced its a Sahara, rather than a 'normal' one with a novelty inset in the bonnet for the spare wheel. All the Sahara pictures I can find show a distinctively different front grille.

There was no indication of a second, rear-mounted engine.
