We wandered into the Haynes motor museum on the way home earlier this week. Interesting collecton, though it gets rather tedious beyond the 1960s.
However, it appears that the vast expanse of immaculate striped lawn at the front is plastic grass. Coffee was okay.

80s or 90s perhaps, I found myself approaching a R/A with one of those in front of me. We slowed, she went, I slowed then went, attentively looking yo my right...arghhg, she stopped. I nosed the transit bonnet into the back door hanging spare wheel. My bad entirely. I gestured to pull over and we inspected the complete lack of visual damage to the GWagon, obviously the tyre had takin the impact. I offered derails apologetically...she replied..
Don't want to know...ive literally just picked it up from the dealership its literally brand new, there's nothing to see...forget it.

I suspect she just didn't want the embarrassment of telling the owner. I'd taken the reg just in case anything came back...
Phew, lucky escape for a moments inattentiveness.

Some of the Irish escorts like baby blue' have more power, 350BHP+, but weigh about 1000kg, & possibly jump further!

From 295,000 !
Sort of defeating the object for me,bit like cover bands 😁...was watching Car SOS yesterday and the yellow one they fully restored.

For a lot less money (presumably), you could have a build like Frank Kellys?
(circa) 350 BHP, 6-speed sequential 'box, etc....
