Never actually driven a Sierra. Only once ever drove a Mondeo, ditto almost any of the Cortinas.
Funny never been a Ford man but despite driving lots of company pool cars, Fords (barring Escorts) never were a popular choice for the fleet guys at companies I've worked for. They all seemd to prefer Vauxhalls or the 1.9TDI engined Citroën, Fiat's etc

Drove a pool car Sierra a couple of times but didn't particularly like it. And I was used to 1960s old bangers at the time, so the bar for being a "nice car" wasn't set particularly high. Our Astra van runabout was much much nicer to drive and a lot more fun. Didn't like the fwd Escorts either and thought them quite unpleasant to drive. The later Mondeo was pretty decent and I did 100,000 miles in what was my first company car.

Saabs are for people who like vx mechanics and hard shoulders!

Volvo for those who like best seats in the business and arriving on time!!

I worked on the older (pre GM) SAAB cars and they were superb, most would do over 200,000 miles with no major mechanical issues and don't forget they won major Rally events back in the 60's with fantastic handling although Eric Carlsson put a few on their roof but he'd get them the right way up and continue..........often to a win.
General Motors cheapened the brand image.
