Be it the original colour, or wrapped, it was in the ‘Chameleon’ colour

When I was in the 5th form, the father of one of the girls in my class had a mk10, I guess back then it was just a big old car, with plenty of room

introduced in 1961 ... a six cylinder 4.2l. At the time a Ferrari 250 was a 3 litre V12. First Jag V12 was also 1961 and we all know which beauty they shoehorned that into.

It seemed to lose its purity of form by then, looking like a 'greenhouse on wheels', to suit the American market
Heck, evrn 'Viz' drew it on a front cover, crossing it with a DB5 :whistle:

That sounds like one that belonged to a chap who went to the same gym I did when I still lived in Pontecarlo. If so it hasn't moved very far in the last 20-ish years.
