An acquaintance, a sales director known for his extravagant expenses, had one stolen from outside a hotel - with most of his clothes inside. A crew with a low-loader arrived and persuaded the attendant that they had to take it for repair. Herald was a great little car. Mine was the two litre straight six Vitesse version and it was great. I reckon the ordinary Herald version would still have been quite nippy and equally fun to drive
