It was an awesome move, but to still have the legs to do that after having to make up all that time after the puncture - just Wow!
I think the french lad will know when he looks back he maybe should have anticipated a move there and gone balls out on "his" side of the tree

Shame that some of the crowd felt the need to boo Pidcock at the finish.

Anyone who has been in a sporting crowd during a national event knows how one-eyed they are. This is regardless of nationality. A British crowd would have reacted exactly the same. It's possible that we CC members, because we are a better sort don't you know, wouldn't have joined in but it would have happened.
