Remco was understandably stressed by that late bike change! Fortunately, he had built up a big enough lead to not only win but to be able to enjoy the finish.

Great rides for the French silver and bronze too.

I don't normally watch TV during the day but a cyclist friend called round this afternoon so we watched the last couple of hours together.

I am looking forward to the women's race now but am busy during the day so I will catch up tomorrow night.

Well that didn't go to plan 😕, gutted for Beth she looked unbeatable in the semis
