Hello and Welcome to the CC forums. ;)

There are a few Cube Aerial owners on this forum I believe. I think you would get a better response to your thread if you posted this on the "Cafe" or "Beginners and Riding" - as most CCers don't read this section, sadly!

Greetings! We are recumbent tandem riders from Canada

Hello from Canada!
We are planning to do the North Sea Cycle Route( perhaps starting in Amsterdam and doing the complete 6000km loop) next spring and thought we could get some valuable information from Cycle Chat. My wife and I live on Saltspring Island on the west coast of British Columbia in Canada. We ride a Rans Seavo Recumbent tandem for touring.I ride a Bacchetta Giro 26 recumbent to work. My wife also rides a Bacchetta Giro 20. This summer we are doing an unsupported tour of Quebec,Canada.
Cheers,
Barry and Mary Ellen

Hello Barry and Mary Ellen, Welcome to the CC forums.

It sounds like the two of you are real enthusiasts.

I'm sorry I can't be of more use to you as I'm not familiar with the route you've mentioned - but good luck anyway.

All the best from sunny central Scotland.

p.s. This would maybe be better posted in the "Touring and Expedition," "Special Interests(Recumbent)," or the "Cafe" sections of the CC forums for a wider audience seavob!!! -

Hello, just joined to get wisdom of the crowd.

I am still seething about my bike getting nicked (Specialized Allez in Clerkenwell a few weeks ago). Looking at various websites (ebay / gumtree / loot) there are plenty of bikes to buy second-hand but many look stolen to me, the reasons being: -

  • photo and description copied from manufacturer's website
  • no owner's manual
  • advert text shows no understanding of basic cycling terms or ideas
  • seller suggests meeting at a nearby station / street not their address
  • no way to contact seller except mobile number
  • phrases like "unwanted gift" appear very often - who are the very generous people they know?
Anyway I got the insurance money and will buy a legit bike because giving money to those thieving ***** leaves a nasty taste. I will go for long rides out and back without stopping anywhere so the only place the bike is stationary is in my garage..

Hi Deri & Welcome to Cycle Chat. Sorry to hear about your bike. I think that a good few of us on here have had a bike nicked so feel your pain. Check out some of the forums, there a few discussions about ebay/gumtree stolen bikes.

Anyway, onwards and upwards.. welcome again
