Hello all,

Bought a road bike today and went for a spin after not having been on or owned a bike for well over 20 years.

I'm hoping to get in to the social side of things as well as improve my fitness so will be looking to participate in some rides within East Yorkshire.

Cheers !!

Hi everyone,

I've been cycling for quite a few years, currently a single speed/fixed gear which I switch every now and then.

There is a bike build I'd like to do which, unfortunately, isn't very popular. Couldn't get help on it from a couple of shops, so I'm going straight to the single speed forum looking for enlightenment

Hello everyone ^^
just joined this cycling community, so I'm very new here, and this is my first post. I found this website while looking for spare bike parts and some information on vintage bikes. I have a Peugeot Equipe myself, and currently looking into how to replace worn out parts.
Well, maybe talk to you in one of the other forum chats ;-)

Keep cycling,
Alena

Hello,

So you've signed-up, got your user account, now all you need to do is get posting .... ah, um, er, What do I say?

Well, it's dead easy - just say Hello and tell us a little bit about yourself and whereabouts you're from (so we can invite you along to rides!!)

Believe me, once you get that first post under your belt you'll be off!

My name's Shaun by the way, and I own and operate CycleChat.

If you need any help or advice on using the forums, or want to ask a question but don't want to do it publicly - just send me a PM (private message).

Hope you enjoy, and welcome to CycleChat

Cheers,
Shaun

Hi everyone, hi Shaun, what a lovely group of people! I have to confess I am surprised to see how many people and how active this forum is. I was not expecting such a community!
I'm 25, new into cycling, I live in North London. London says everything about expectations on cyclists. I'm really a beginner here, had fallen twice in my first 2 days on my new road bike, so, trying to take it slower and smarter now.
Happy to be here!

Hi all,

Long time (30+ years) cyclist here - mind you i've had a few stints here and there getting fat and lazy but the call of burning legs and screaming lungs always brings me back.

Love all cycling, whatever people ride is cool with me. Am an ex racer (MTB & road) but these days I just enjoy having fun without being a slave to the HRM and helping out fellow riders when i can. Very pleased to be a member here. Seems like a nice friendly place. See you all around

Hi, looking forward to some cycle chat. I'm from Warrington, my 1980's Ron Spencer Road Bike got bolt cropped and stolen many years back, but now I'm back on a road bike and ready to roll again.
