I'm new on this site and in fact I am new to cycling full stop! I recently realised that there's so much gym you can do & running is not for me anymore... I will get on this site to get initial advice on what bike to get... I'm sure I'll find the answer! Lovely site :-)

Hello,

So you've signed-up, got your user account, now all you need to do is get posting .... ah, um, er, What do I say?

Well, it's dead easy - just say Hello and tell us a little bit about yourself and whereabouts you're from (so we can invite you along to rides!!)

Believe me, once you get that first post under your belt you'll be off!

My name's Shaun by the way, and I own and operate CycleChat.

If you need any help or advice on using the forums, or want to ask a question but don't want to do it publicly - just send me a PM (private message).

Hope you enjoy, and welcome to CycleChat

Cheers,
Shaun
Hi Shaun, thanks for the welcome,
hello to all fellow cyclists.

Hello,
Thanks for the greeting, Shaun.
I've just (July 2014) taken up cycling again after a 30 year (ouch!) break. I used to cycle a lot as a teenager, including a couple of cycling holidays with a friend, cycling from SE England to Lands End and to Snowdonia (looking back, I now understand why our parents were so concerned at these trips!). I now live in the Yorkshire Dales, near Clapham and have been 'enjoying' the lack of flatness around here very much; at least I think I have.
