hello...totally new

Look forward to reading stuff and learning stuff... :bicycle:

Hello,
I'm new to the forum, but a fairly old hand in cycling.
I've had lots of Italian, Belgian & French road race bikes over the years, but only concern myself with riding off-road now!
Fixed wheel bikes have always drawn my attention & over winter that's what my training/hack bikes used to be.
Nowadays, it's single speed freewheel bikes that do it for me, or "fixed wheel lite" as I like to think of it! :-)
I no longer have any race bikes, only a Trek MTB, a Surly cross check & an old Peugeot single speed bike that is used to buzz around the village!
I only ride for fun now, my racing days are long gone!
Regards,
TL

Hi! I have returned to cycling this Summer after a long time away.

I have enjoyed reading the forum over the last few weeks, and have now decided to make myself known.

I live near Wetherby in West Yorkshire, and ride a Peugeot ANC Halfords road bike which is now well over 20 years old, but still going (Says something about the amount I have ridden over the last 20 years!).

I'm looking forward to interacting with others on the forum.

Hello All,

Just dropping in my first post as a new forum member. I'm a long time mountain biker and also commute occasionally. Joined the forum to (hopefully) get advice on my next bike. ^_^

Hi , I'm from South Wales and I ride a mountain bike I built from scratch, a Brompton M6L and a traditional road bike with SA 3 gears sit-up-n beg bars and a wide saddle.
I'm 67 y.o.a so don't do as mush riding as I have in the past but still do enough to warrant my username.

Hello. I'm Nick, I'm currently living in Southampton. I have a Boardman Pro Carbon for commuting and long rides, and a Riverside 300 for a station bike / winter hack. I like riding for giggles, I do lots of silly distance rides (up to 170 miles in a day on my longest rides from southampton to London and back). I do Strava everything, if you want to use any of my routes, feel free to follow me and go for it!

http://www.strava.com/activities/190333400 As an example.

This one is actually a regular for me, but the battery life of the device I use to record it sometimes doesn't allow me time to track the whole route.

Hello! Utter newbie here!

I'm from central scotland, I currently don't ride anything but I'm looking to change that.....I'm a short, young faced 22 year old in college.

Hi! I thought I'd already joined but apparently not. I'm Gina, I'm a 60 year old casual cyclist from Surrey. My usual length of ride is around ten miles only; last year I cycled to work and back four miles each way. I need to get fitter but I'm not finding all this rain very inviting!

I actually came here looking for advice on buying a bike horn but I think I'll hang around and chat.

Oh, and I haven't worked out yet how to get to my profile to edit it, except through the welcome message in my inbox. And I thought I was computer savvy! Any pointers would be helpful.

Evening All!

Thought I'd find somewhere to talk about bikes and find a few things out about other cyclists. came across this site when looking at how to clean Cork handle bar tape and thought I'd Join the party!

I own a lovely Vintage Peugeot PH501 cycle with carbolite 103 forks. fairly original with a few added bits like a pannier for traveling and taking luggage.

I look forward to getting to know some of you all

Tom
