Hi all, very new to this but wish I had taken it up years ago, love it. I currently ride a Giant Defy 3 which for a beginner was a pretty costly outlay and took some convincing for the wife. Living near Malton on the outskirts of the Yorkshire Dales which is perfect cycling country.

Hello Cycle Chat, I'm from the states. Just stopped in to say hello. Hoping to make contact with Neil Earley about his Nazca High Racer. UK builds the nicest rides, hands down.

Hi, I hope its ok to admit to having just bought a Pedelec. Be fair, I'm 62 and am trying to postpone the inevitable. Anyway I love it or did until undercarriage damage has required a serious re-think of seating arrangements. This is the point of my joining; looking for advice and shared experience. I know this is a lot to confess on a first date but the clock ticks and the sun is out. Just borrowed a Spongywonder hornless saddle from a friend.................we'll see. What does the panel think? Cheers!!

Hello again, I'm from across the pond seeking the finer things of recumbent creations in the UK. I have to accumulate some points before I can reach a seller from cycle chat. This is one of the finest sites I've found for serious cyclists. Peace.

Hi all. Returned to cycling couple of years ago and am currently obsessed with what people call "vintage" bikes. I like that rather than admit Im a tight a#×e with permanently oily hands. Just turned up after work with cobweb covered Carrera Celeste to join the other "classics" in shed. Anyone know a good divorce lawyer?

Morning all, first post to say hi rather than making my first post a request for help.
I started cycling properly again last year through the cycle to work scheme and managed to complete the Manchester to Blackpool ride earlier this summer in a shade over 3 hours.

Joined a week ago but posted new topic - must've missed this thread. Apols.
Not even got a bike yet, swaying between Dutch and Hybrid/CX - as stockists are awaiting 2015 stocks it's giving me breathing space to decide. At the moment I'm swaying more towards the Dutch bikes, probably Gazelle Orange C7, Batavus Blockbuster 7 or Cortina Speed 8 Herenfiets.

Hello CC!

Hi,

My name is Rune, I live in Whitehaven, Cumbria, and I have the bug! I am inadvertently becoming a follower of the n+1 bike rule (which can also be written as s-1, where s is the number of bikes owned that would result in separation from your partner), and now own 3 bikes (2 road bikes and 1 hybrid). I'm a member of 'Honister 92' cycle club and when I get a chance we do 60 - 110 miles rides. Through commuting my aim is to do 110 miles done per week so....keeping fit being the name of the game!

Cheerio,

Rune
