:welcome: Forgot that.
Hyde Park. Know it well.
If I were you I would just keep my eye on the 'Informal Rides' section for a while. By all means create a thread for some regular rides if you want to but I have a feeling that lots here, like me, would struggle to keep a regular date because of other commitments.
Anyway, jump in and maybe I'll see you on a ride sometime soon.

Good evening every, I'm Bob and apparently I'm now a cyclist ! Just bought my first non BSO , the revolution cross sport, from Edinburgh bike co op. I've just completed my 2nd week of commuting to work and on loving it. My journey is a bit too long for the 100 kg of me, so I've split it into an 8 mile trip to train station, about 30 min for me, then another 4 miles across the iconic forth road bridge to work. Oh and back again at night. Absolutely loving it although the thighs constantly burn when sitting at my desk !!!

Hi to everyone

Hi,

I'm Jon. Used to ride everyday as a kid and decided at the ripe old age of 28 to start riding again.

I'm 6'8 and around 21 stone. I've done a few short 10 miles rides then stepped up to 18 a few weeks back. been averaging just over 12mph. None of my rides have been too hilly.

Last weekend I did my first serious ride. http://www.cloistersbikeride.org/ 44miles. Although the people I rode with thought it would be fun to ride too and from... Became 51.5 miles.

Turns out with my weight, a hardtail mtb and no real training, hills are hard. Love going downhill and often go over 35mph.

I had heard of the cycling bug and I've well and truly caught it. Now looking to get a road bike.

Was supposed to be doing three bridges ride in the morning but have knackered my back.

Can't wait to get out on my bike again. But I want a new one.

I'm from Rochester Kent and look forward to joining the cycling community.

Hello guys , im new here and totally new to cycling, im sure ill have lots of questions to ask eventually if thats ok!!!!!:bicycle:
Hi blueschill, welcome to the forum. Seeing as you're from Portsmouth do you think you could nip to Wiggle at Northarbour spur and see where my new helmet's got to? Cheers^_^

Hello there cyclechat, I'm still a pretty young thing xD, I love riding my bike, I've been riding since I can remember, as soon as I can remember walking, I was on a bike not long after (with stabilizers of course haha). But now, I'm in the process of giving my current bike some TLC so I can ride it again, needs a new inner tube and tire on the rear, brakes need sharpening up, much appreciated if someone can help me with how to make my brakes sharper as I have no clue how to :S. But yeah, I love riding my bike, and as we are getting the better weather again, I can't wait to get back on me ol' faithful x-rated dirt jumper and hit the tarmac/dirt. Btw, I'm about 6ft and 92kg (other people seem to be adding their height and weight lol) thanks,
-Steve

Hi everyone,

I recently signed up and wanted to say hi.

Bought a MTB 12 months ago, stayed on the roads - loved it and increased my milage from 4 to 40 miles of riding in 6 months.

Decided to buy a roadie last year and bought one at the begining of February; absolutely love it (it's a CAAD10)

Now (weather permitting) trying to do 50 miles + on a weekend and looking to join a club for experience and maybe push myself into a sportive/TT.

I am based in Bradford, West Yorkshire.

Any help/advice welcome
