Grey and damp here.
2 ex female MP's reminded me of how we used to play when we were young in the 50/60's. It was role play. Mummies and Daddies. I would go off on a scooter to work and come back a few minutes later to an appetising mud pie! I didn't make the rules, it was how we used to play.

Urgent DIY - breaking the shower head holder off its rail after it partially broke last evening, a spring went flying. Logic would say remove one end of the rail but the bottom screw is completely rusted while the top one is out of reach and I am not sure what could safely be put in the bath to stand on. Replacement coming today, one that clamps around the rail

Quite heavy showers appear to have passed and we're back to pastel blue and grey.

I'm out of milk so I've started on coffee. Washing's in the dumble tryer.

Good morning from a 2nd floor hotel room in mostly cloudy and occasionally drizzly York. Today's view is of the other wings of the hotel and a little bit of sky over whatever the building opposite is.

The usual oversized breakfast has been had followed by the customary rest and I'm just about to head off into the town centre for an hour's walk around before making my way to the rail station.

I'm used to paying up to £7 in some places, but prefer the £5 at The Brudenell in Leeds. If I ever return to The Barbican I'll have a pre-event drink elsewhere and just have one or two in the venue at that price.
