We discovered a couple of mice had moved into the house. Mouse number one was caught and released yesterday. Mouse number two was caught this morning and released. Hopefully peace and quiet once more, and no more scrabbling and munching sounds will be heard.

tried a few lunches this week where I used rolled sliced turkey, bacon & cheese combined w/ lettuce wedges. today I made an actual sandwich with roasted chicken, cheese, lettuce on a large toasted English muffin

Hws anyone tried removing a hose lock from an old plastic hose. It was a nightmare. I unscrewed the nut and tried pulling the pipe off. It wouldn't budge. I spent over an hour trying to cut and pull the pipe off. Pliers were used to try to pull the pipe off, all it did was to break off little bits of hose and stringy stuff. Eventually it gave up and I managed to get the remaining bit off. I reassembled the hose lock onto the pipe and tried it, it worked. I was going to wash my car off so Ai picked up the hose and then noticed the hose had broken in half further down!

A mostly sunny train ride up although a bit cloudy in the Peterborough area. For the first time in many trips the washes between the Old & New Bedford rivers out @Reynard 's way were merely very wet rather than being under water.

On the hunt today for non J & J 'talc' for the GLW, went into Roy's, a local and well known regional firm. Found some non J & J, but no price on the shelf. Decided the queue was too long to wait, so as I left, I remarked to the security lad at the door about the missing price tag.
He immediately said that if I showed him where the item was, he would find out. Showed him, he went behind the till, thus 'overriding' the queue and had it scanned for the price. Good price, sold - !
Now that is a grand example of good customer service - !

Nice day, today! Quiet ride along the Nene cycle paths to Riverside Retail Park to get a light jacket or two for the Spring chilly times.
Some bedding plants purchased & potted up ready to go in the garden next month.
Fish pie (haddock, smoked haddock & prawn) is in the air fryer 👌
