Unscheduled deflation to report.

Conveniently happened outside a pub in Leenaun so I may as well have a pint and a plate of chips before dealing with it.

Usually, I get punctures on the back wheel of the Brompton which is a trifle inconvenient so the front wheel of a mountain bike with quick release hubs should be easy.

if you know exactly where the puncture is you don't have to remove the wheel just slip the tube past the tire to patch it. I've only done it once, but it did save some time

When I was cleaning the car this morning I managed to wrap the hosepipe around the bucket of hot suddy water so that when I yanked it it toppled the bucket over and filled my shoes up.

Bloody hell. Didn't even imagine that burning palm-sized battery produces THAT much smoke and that that smoke is soooo acrid. And that's having a face mask on. Perks of the job, learning something new time after time.

That's what I usually do on roadsters but getting Brompton tyres off is more tricky and the rear triangle is quite tight for space.

Good morning from Suffolk where it's yet another bright & sunny start to the day and, unlike yesterday, there's very little wind. Coffee has been had.

Looks like the bin men are running late as, from what I could see when making coffee earlier, mine appeared to be where it was left yesterday and I've not heard the usual clatter of them being emptied since.

New thermostat control works in opposite direction to the old one and I have only just realised.

Second cuppa went down well with a slice of toast and lemon curd
