I'm wondering can I ask for a discount on my bill as I've had an hour less in bed.

Sunny but very windy. Washer on. Only changed two clocks, that on the variable central heating thermostat and that on the boiler. Most are automatic but as usual the analogue one hasn't changed yet. Clock in the spare room I never reset to GMT, theres a clock on a weather station that I never look at for the time and the cooker and microwave work without a time being set. Leaves the car to do.

Good morning from Suffolk where it's another bright and sunny start to the day, but a very breezy one judging by the way the trees the other side of the rail line are swaying. Coffee has been had. All that's to be done today is a ride round to see mum later this morning.

The good news is that the two clocks I thought may have been self adjusting aren't so everything here is now on BST. There is one exception which is the heating timer, but as that won't be needed until we go back to GMT later in the year there's no point in changing it.

In the 15 years I have been doing my rainfall measurements this is the driest start to a year. 243mm in the first 3 months this compares to the wettest in 2016 of 524 mm

can I take my mud guards off yet - or will that herald the wettest spring ever

Definitely very windy out there. Hard work even with the ebike. Went round to see mum & step father but typically they were out - probably at a garden centre not buying anything but having a lunch in the café knowing them.

A second coffee has been had and I think that a walk is in order. Not going anywhere near Felixstowe and the sea front having seen how busy it was earlier.

Gone midnight, and my son is hoovering his bedroom.

That's a tough one to deal with.

Son hoovering room, surprise or suspicion.
After midnight? Social sensitivity?

I have one of those. He tells me he was late getting up because he was playing music last night. His night seems to end about my breakfast.
I'm also his landlord. So have to send him a warning letter following representations from the management company.
How did I get here?
