I went for a wee walk after work and bought some more Deep Heat in the pharmacy. They were out of the roll-on version so had to get the one in the aluminium tube. I hate it as it's difficult to wash off when you get it on your hands.

I'm okay when walking but it's tricky getting into an upright position in the first place.
Small plastic bag on the hand you're aplying/rubbing it in with. Cheaper than the gloves.

Back at home after the weekend away and it's still raining - I don't think it's stopped since Friday afternoon. The first thing I'll have to do on Tuesday is to go out and get some milk as the opened bottle from last week had just started to turn - it was just about OK to use for the hot chocolate earlier but no way will it do on cereal in the morning.

There was a delayed arrival into Kings Cross this afternoon, so I opted to walk straight to Liverpool Street (2.7 miles, 4934 steps according to my Garmin) and have a final drink of the birthday weekend at the pub next to the station while I waited for the Ipswich train. A dry & healthy week* will have to be had to compensate for the cooked breakfasts and pub/venue beers had.

* With the exception of Wednesday when there's a family meal and I'm not driving.

Might be an option to keep a litre of UHT milk in the cupboard for occasions such as this?
