Back from the dentist and i didnt need anything doing yet but he said i would probably need a root filling eventually and maybe dentures might help to take pressure off a tooth that wasnt really designed for chewing .

Doesn't a little bit of sunshine do a lot to improve your mood - even when doing something as mundane as shopping. Did an extended loop with a backpack full of food & drink to include Felixstowe seafront this morning, had a mug of coffee & a sausage roll for lunch, then out for another 2 1/2 hours in the afternoon's continuing sun.
I'm now enjoying this evening's hot chocolate with the Daytona 24 hours streaming via the Chromecast on the TV and looking forward to having a nice cold beer or two in a little while.

Today's minor rant - standing charges on electricity & gas bills. It turns out I'm paying a fraction under 75.5p per day (£22.30 per month) even if I don't use any electricity or gas according to the bill received today.

Tesco has been tescoed. They did the YS stuff stupid early, so there was very little to be had. Which in a way, was a good thing. Apart from missing out on a job lot of blueberries. That's just mildly irritating. Didn't come home empty-handed though - picked up diced lamb leg, some "finest" plums, a pack of sandwich thins, half a dozen free range eggs, a dented can of kidney beans and two multipacks of twiglets.
The rest of the shopping list was cleared except for two items from the Polish aisle (smoked cooked bacon and soured cream) that were out of stock. I bought some Silesian sausage in lieu of the bacon as I had plans to do a sausage casserole / cassoulet type thing.
Supper was a bowl of spicy parsnip soup, then two slices of granary toast, one with ham & mustard, and the other with avocado. A
was also had.

This is why the price of gas/leccy doesn't seem to make a huge amount to the bill as it's only a part of the total bill..
