Mini ck 1 is refusing to do a blood test at the gp to continue her meds , where she has them done in a special room for the kidney failure cannot accomodate her as the gp is not linked to their system and its a long way to go for a 5 min blood test and they said she nearly 18 so the days of her getting a special room and staff taking a long time are nearly over . When told she had a meltdown and refused to listen .
Mrs ck in tears

I am just ignoring him. In two years, he will lose congress, and that will be it for such foolishness. MAGA has no follow on leader, so it will die of its own accord. Him letting off all those rioterds shows he has no respect for the law.

He talked about "Catch and release"? I thought that just referred to wild animals that ventured too far into civilisation.

If the country is so great why can't he share the resources? Isn't sharing and helping others part of what anyone should be doing? I could go on, but then I would have to report myself for talking politics.

Lunchtime Co Op trek in a touch of light rain and in store walked into former boss. Not seen him since one morning in 2018. Got made redundant later that morning.
Recovered another power bank. This one was only giving out the merest trickle of current
Left it plugged into a sportscam battery charger until the LEDs on that stopped showing, recharged it and now it recharges the phone.

It's been a reasonably bright and somewhat chilly day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept well enough, though I've tweaked a muscle in my, ahem, derriere, so turning over in bed is less than straightforward LOL! Anyway, spent the morning doing chores and topping up the wood in the house.

After a lovely luncheon of toast, smoked salmon mousse, torta di gorgonzola cheese, fruit and a :cuppa: it was into the gardening clobber and off outside for another trailer load of firewood before the weather turns. Now realistically, I didn't really need to go out, as I have something like four trailer loads stacked in the garage. But it's still too early in the year to be complacent about these things, and looking at the forecast, it's likely to be at least another week and a half to fortnight before I'll be able to lumberjill.

I filled the trailer, and then spotted another dead ash tree that has a reasonably clear line to fall. It's a bit too big for me to bring down safely, so I have cut a large wedge out of the bottom of the trunk and am hoping that Eowyn will do the rest of the job for me.

Have had a quiet early evening by the fire. Madam Lexi has been fed (Felix AGAIL with chicken) and soon it will be time to feed me.

The floodlights are on at Millwall, just to the north of here. I had to check to see I was supporting Cardiff City.

In Fakenham today, realised that my watch had stopped 'cos of a duff battery. Went into a wee family run jewellers which had the charm of being a 'bit 19th. Century' and in conversation, transpires that the owner who served me had been an apprentice under the owner of the jewellery shop in Norwich which was the shop most of our family bought our watches and had them serviced there well over sixty years ago - !
Now how's that for a co-incidence - ? ^_^

Another day of chaos completed at work.

Bit of a change in the weather after a long spell of un-January-like weather. Really thick fog now, so no bike ride this evening. I sorted out the sticking back brake on my winter Raleigh. I've never been happy with it as it doesn't seem to be quite right fotr the bike, even though the matching front brake can be adjusted correctly.

Today is apparently squirrel appreciation day.
