The reported snow did fall with a good 4-6 inch in most placers. So other than 2 trips to local tescos not much else has been done today. Today was a gym day but having seen even the roads covered early this morning. So Thought better of it no point falling on the way , see what it’s like early tomorrow if it’s still bad then it’s an extra rest day.

She lives in Ramsgate on the Westcliff and is frequently seen wandering along the clifftop there.

Given the cold weather, the radio presenter advised to travel with caution and to carry a blanket, a flask of tea, a snow shovel, snow chains, a spare gallon of petrol, a set of jump leads, a torch and a paraffin heater.

I looked a right twit getting on the bus to go to work this morning.

At least you'll be prepared for the wait as the rest get there.

Back from walk, wet snow and foggy.

Started out with a walk this morning, but Cassie repeatedly refused to move. For a dog born in a farm barn she has become very fussy about the weather.

That's this evening's hot chocolate finished. I very nearly ended up with a mug of very milky coffee as I wasn't concentrating and took the wrong jar out of the cupboard. It wasn't until I was just about to spoon the coffee into the hot milk that I noticed.

Having said earlier that it had stopped raining, that was only a short respite as it started drizzling not long afterwards. In the end I just waterproofed up and went out for an hour's very damp underfoot walk while listening to the football on the radio. When I got home I moved the recycling bin to the front of the house ready for emptying on Monday - it's somewhat full as I missed the last emptying round when they changed the collection day due to the Ch****mas.

Today, my contribution to the world was an Epiphany Cake.

My cake repertoire is limited but generally good.

This one disappeared in less than 5 minutes.

Another Belgian contribution to good food.

And even better straight from the waffle iron as opposed to shop bought*. But life is far too short to chisel away the baked-on goo from the metal plates...

* from Aldi, but by far the best bought ones I've found in the UK so far.

Hello, I've only had it in my collection for like three years. Along with the remainder of the sequence. Although I can now attribute them to the photographer who says the photo's never been shared or published.

Ummmm, yeah. OK.

I gotta love the catalogue I spent six months compiling.

Weather over night looks to have been much of the same. Early morning walk to the gym not a great idea , so looks like another rest day.
Will be off into town later though but at least I can see what I'm doing. Get the waterproofs on not having to worry about how to dry them for the walk back.
