My word having this snow has worked out superbly. No church so i got stuck into the cleaning.Three bedrooms dusted polished and hoovered and a Bobby's bonus the entire staircase dusted polished and hoovered, what a result.monday it is the shower room and then the bathroom. The shower needs sorting with bleach, soap and shampoo yellow grime on the grouting, bleach works wonders. Now Postman's house does not normally get this grubby, but i had to rest after the hernia and Mrs P could not do everything and go see and sort out her dad. Then Xmas came along. But postie is back and so is the fragrance of polish and bleach, what a domestic godess/god i am.What a catch i was .^_^:laugh::angel::bravo::notworthy::stop:

A grey and wet day here chez Casa Reynard, and one that got progressively milder.

Famous last words when I logged off last night, as shortly after, it started snowing. We had perhaps about half a centimetre's worth. It stuck around till about half seven in the morning, whereupon according to the parental, it started raining.

I slept really well, and other than the basic chores needed to get through the day, I have done diddly squat. Just been sitting by the fire, reading (a Horatio Hornblower book) and listening to the radio.

Had a lovely luncheon of malted sourdough toast, smoked black forest ham, cheddar cheese, fruit and a :cuppa:

Just having a :cuppa: and a gaufre de liege.

Oh yes, and I have taken the wreath off the door (mine's an artificial one that gets trotted out nearly every year), the poinsettia tablecloth from the dining room table and the cat-themed stockings from the chimney breast. The tree gets done tomorrow.

I have taken down the few decorations, but not packed them away "properly" in the boxes.

I have a sore throat, and aches etc.

Just watching "Ski Sunday". What on earth is nose butter? When I was in Lillehammer one summer I went up to the top of the ski jump. It looked steep but the free style ski jump looks even steeper, or is that just the camera angle?
