Have you seen how deep a truck can sink into a grass verge? 😂

Quite. Years ago, my Dad was making a delivery to a rural farm with a Volvo F7 artic after a spell of seriously heavy rain. On a small, single track road, the whole road fell away and left the lorry on its side in the bog.

It was nearly a week before a crane company could provide heavy lifting equipment to get it back out again. It cost a lot of money.

The ground that it fell on was so soft that the mirror hadn't even broke.

It seems unusually dark this morning.

Well I've yet to be impressed by our new Sony Bravia TV! So far I'm pi55ed off with it! The sound might be better than our old LG and we can now get catch-up and iPlayer but I find that it is slow and argues with me as to what programme I selected. I am still waiting for some wildlife programmes to see some really good pictures but so far there hasn't been anything amazing. We played a dvd last night as there was nothing to watch. What a faff! Our old TV would have identified it and started playing but we had to go through a process to get it to play. Modern technology is Carp!

I've seen a few needing heavy lifting equipment to move, too.

Uo doodo creek.

What's the french vernacular for jubillee clip?

Translation apps don't cut the mustard.

Well, it's Sunday now and the hardware shops and a lot of supermarkets are shut - here in France.
Stroke of genius, found a 3m length of "any length" Jubilee clip. Knew it was tucked away somewhere.

A jury rig will be effected and a full repair undertaken when we reach a nation that speaks Jubilee clip.

Down side is that door has fallen off the cupboard was searching.
The bikes are still on the back of the van and it's freezing fog. No incentive to go cycling.

Good morning from Suffolk where the weather continues to be grey, damp and miserable. Coffee has been had, but it took a long while for me to leave the warmth of the duvet to make it.
Today looks to be another day of faffing around doing as little as possible with either a bike ride or a decent walk to be had early afternoon.

Try “Asia” on the beeb. I was blown away by the quality on our Bravia. Think it’s a 4k on iplayer

starting to look forward to getting back on the road, been about 10 days now since last ride! But the first is not looking too promising, don't want to have to wait until the 2nd

Bit of sun and increasingly gusty wind. Forecast is increasing wind strength for the next two days so this mornings ride to Sainsbury's looks to be the last use of a bicycle this year. Bag of oranges @£1, apple sauce and price reduced box of mince pies dated Jan 31. The wind had a noticeable braking effect on the return.
Ride ended with me under the ebike being rescued by a neighbour. They thought the wind was to blame but I think i caught my coat on the saddle. Now one bruised elbow to attend to.
Edit - make that one elbow with a plaster on it and a holed sweatshirt.
