In exciting bin news, the Rottenburg local authority sent us a Christmas card with a calendar showing the important events for the village, including bin collection days. For the last few months, I'd been watching to see when the neighbours took theirs out for emptying.
Towards the end of the year East Suffolk Council issue a laminated card with the dates which the bin men attach to your bin when they empty it. Unfortunately this relies on you having a bin to empty on that week which I've not for the past couple of years, so I also rely on what the neighbours put out (or the Council's web site if it's dark when I need to check).

Having changed the bedding this morning, it took me until early afternoon to finally get myself motivated to go out in the bitter cold and gloom of the day to go shopping. Only to find that the town centre CoOp that I thought was closing at the end of the year (for the refit & transformation into a Sainsburys) closes on Sunday so they were on minimal stocks - no bread, no own brand tinned goods, the rememnants of the cold cabinet, etc. Walked out empty handed and carried on to Morrisons instead.

I am not joining the family get together tomorrow.Lunch, ten pin bowling and cinema. For some reason i have mysterious pains around my hernia scar and groin. So chucking a heavy ball for two games of ten pin is not a sensible idea.I have not really moved around a lot since Christmas Eve and certainly not done anything like hard work, just excessive washing and drying up.With copious amounts of sitting down.i will keep an eye on this for a week.

Time for sleep, this little one said.
