Walked into Dewsbury to find a cardigan* as I can't put a jumper on due to my hand injury and I'm in short-sleeved shirts. Any sleeves need to be wide due to a large bandage. It's a tad chilly up in Yorkshire today.

* SWMBO did once buy me a cardigan but, as I don't wear them, I gave it away in the summer.

wear your coat over the top of the bandage so you have the good hand inside the coat , might look like you have no arm but at least its warm .Thats what i did when i had my collar bone done.
Obviously you need someone to do it up

I always went for the Fabric/Nubuck boots cos they dry out faster in a tent, I went camping with a girlfriend who had really good (Berghaus I think) Leather boots and she moaned about having damp feet after we spent a day in the lake district in pouring rain and my boots were fine the next day but hers were still soggy after 3 days. Once Leather gets wet it is a devil to dry out no matter how much newspaper you stuff in them unless you are in a warm dry house

I got fed up with buying a pair of cheap boots every 6 months & bought a pair of Salomon's fabric boots, they've been really good.

Sometime this year, some team or other in space exploration decided to launch a mission to find out if there is frozen water on some far distant planet.

How the heck (?) do they justify that expense when there are people on this planet without access to clean fresh water. Furthermore, children spend so much time and energy collecting water, that they miss out on school.

Because someone has given them the money. Locally their is concern that £1x millions are to spent on town centre highway "improvements" rather than education etc. The issue is those millions have been given to the Council to spend solely on town centre improvements.
