Did you pop in home for a cuppa?
Almost 10 miles walked, no cardigan with wide enough sleeves found so I had a coffee and mince pie instead.
Next task was getting the cherry tree that ate the bar and chain from the saw to spit it out. I managed to get it to do that, but inevitably, the tree tipped in the opposite direction in which I wanted it to fall, and is now dingle dangling in its neighbour. I think I will need to use the mower to pull it free, but that's a task for another time.

New walking boots had first outdoor outing. Comfy and grippy on steep muddy hills. Toughness will have to wait till more rocky terrain.
Have you tried finding a zip up fleece? You might need a bigger size than usual, but if the sleeves are too long, just fold them up? Perhaps (young) men who wear fleeces have bigger arms than older men who wear cardigans.
that's it, can't return them. good luck. what kind of material? do they accept any treatment. such as a spray of some kind or something you rub on?
these are my current favorites. I spray them once a year. which reminds me ...

I have had to move the two Chocolate Oranges and the pack of shortbread that I was given into the safety of the kitchen.
